Soave at VINITALY 2013 – Kicking off in Style: What to Look Forward to

As in previous years, the Consorzio del Soave will be taking prime position, with its huge, distinctive stand, which will be host to the Consorzio’s feast of tastings, talks and presentations over the course of the 4-day extravaganza.

The Style theme, started at the Saturday preview, will carry through to Vinitaly proper, where on Sunday at 3pm, the Consorzio del Soave stand (Pad. 5 G4-7) will host perhaps the most glamourous event on the programme, VINO & MODA. This will see Anna Fendi (previously co-founder of her family’s famous fashion house) unveiling her bespoke bottle label designed for Soave as part of her new AFV brand of hotel-boutiques. This is a great example of how  Italian Fashion and quality Italian wine are indeed a perfect match – one not to be missed!

Style is also central to one of the other highlights of Soave’s offerings at this year’s Vinitaly, Soave in 3D. This is a new method of wine tasting devised by the Consorzio del Soave specifically for this year’s Vinitaly. It aims to break out of the straightjacketed approach so often adopted when trying to appreciate wine, and offers a fresh approach. It focusses on three main criteria: Origin, Style and Value, to form the basis of a truly three dimensional impression of the wine, favouring  perception over concept when tasting. Come along to the Soave stand at 10am on Monday to hear the full presentation of this innovative approach, and also to the preview on Sunday at 5pm.

So Vinitaly 2013 is certainly going to be a stylish one for Soave.
